At Abbot’s Hall and the Food Museum, Stowmarket
Exhibition – Every Garden Matters
“Every Garden Matters” – How to save the World one garden at a time.
Our Exhibition has now launched and is open to view in Abbotts Hall at the museum during museum opening hours. It is being really well received and has something for all ages interested in caring for the environment.
The exhibition opens with a garden pointing out the things we inadvertently do wrong, a section on why insects are so important and the way we have damaged wildlife. There are some interesting displays about pest control and a challenge to decide what counts as a pest.
The next section shows why the green movement needed to come into being and how it developed. We have been well supported by many different eco celebrities and groups.
Next is a library and resource centre with lots of books to browse and to read our reviews.
The final room is spectacular. It shows why collective action is so important. Many individuals and groups have been involved in preparing items and the collective result is amazing. A parallel message for the way we should be gardening together for wildlife.
Abbotts Hall and the Walled Garden adjacent are free to visit. If you decide to buy a ticket to visit the whole museum, it enables you to return for free for a whole year.
The exhibition runs until 8th October 2022.
